The Imposter Project
The Imposter Syndrome is a psychological phenomenon in which people are unable to recognize their accomplishments. The term is also used to describe a psychological “roadblock” preventing people from attempting new tasks for fear of failure, lack of confidence, or commonly, a perception of fraudulence.
The Imposter Project is a work-tracking blog designed to help shake the Imposter Syndrome by logging progress on new projects and inspiring other to do the same.
Even after growing a venture backed start-up to nationwide scale and eventual acquisition, I still feel the imposter syndrome creep into my mind. As I move onto my next projects, I want to document the process from idea to launch for my own benefit and the benefit of other would-be entrepreneurs paralyzed by the Imposter Syndrome. Here's what you'll find me write about:
1) The initial idea
2) How I tested the viability of the idea (and the metrics behind the tests)
3) Post-test pilot launches and beyond
I hope it inspires you to get out there and kick the Imposter Syndrome yourself. Enjoy.
